It is recommended to limit the time a baby spends in a playpen to short periods, typically around 15-30 minutes at a time. It is important to provide babies with plenty of opportunities for physical activity, exploration, and interaction with caregivers. Extended periods of time in a playpen can restrict a baby's movement and limit their ability to develop important motor skills. It is best to use the playpen as a safe space for short periods while supervising the baby closely. **

I use the MidWest Homes for Pets Folding Metal Exercise Pen for baby cats. When choosing a playpen for baby cats, it is important to ensure that the spacing between the bars is narrow enough to prevent them from escaping. Additionally, the playpen should be sturdy and secure to keep the kittens safe inside. It is also helpful to choose a playpen with a removable bottom tray for easy cleaning. **

To make a hamster playpen yourself, you can use a large cardboard box and cut out one side to create an open space for your hamster to enter and exit. You can then line the bottom of the box with a safe and secure flooring material such as fleece or cardboard. Additionally, you can add tunnels, hideouts, and toys to create a stimulating environment for your hamster to explore and play in. Make sure to supervise your hamster while it's in the playpen and remove any potential hazards. **

Puppies in a playpen need to be supervised to ensure their safety and well-being. It's important to provide them with appropriate toys and chew items to keep them entertained and prevent boredom. The playpen should be kept clean and comfortable, and the puppies should have access to food, water, and a designated potty area. Additionally, socialization and positive interactions with humans and other animals are crucial for their development. **
